About This Event

The "Communication Across Differences" workshop is a transformative session designed to enhance communication skills in diverse settings. Throughout this engaging and interactive workshop, participants will embark on a journey of exploration and discovery, gaining valuable insights into the complexities of communication across various dimensions of diversity. This dynamic session takes participants on a journey of self-discovery and skill development, laying the foundation for more effective and empathetic communication across differences by addressing the following areas:

  • Exploring Diversity Dimensions
  • Understanding Bias in Communication
  • Addressing Barriers to Communication
  • Enhancing Awareness and Understanding
  • Strategies for Conflict Management
  • Empowerment and Action Planning

Tynisha Coleman, ACC is Founder and CEO of Exalt Consulting, is not just a leader—she's a catalyst for transformation. Passionate about fostering inclusion, conflict management, and performance excellence, Tynisha is on a mission to unleash the full potential of leaders through her coaching and development expertise.

Tynisha brings her executive, diversity, and inclusion background to leverage solutions that increase a leader’s ability to communicate more effectively, a vital tool in navigating today’s business complexities. She is solutions-focused and believes “problems can be solved through thoughtful decisions and tough conversations.”

As a higher education executive at Rutgers University, she has experience working in government and non-profits in community economic development, neighborhood revitalization, and sustainability.

Tynisha is an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF) and an Accelerating Coaching Excellence Enhanced Practitioner. She also holds a Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance certification from Rutgers University and an Inclusive and Ethical Leadership certificate from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business. Tynisha has a master’s degree in city and regional planning and a bachelor’s degree in urban studies, both from Rutgers University. And she  received a certificate from the Leadership Academy at Rutgers.

ATD Mid-Atlantic Regional Webinar Programs are pre-approved through the ATD Greater Philadelphia Chapter by the ATD Certification Institute for continuing education credits. These credits are based on the ATD Capability Model may be applied towards recertification by Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) credential holders. This program: 1.25 credits.

In email, participant to request refund paid towards future event within the next six months or money refunded.
If money is refunded there may be a small processing fee
Less Than 72 Hours Prior to the Event
No refund will be issued less than 72 hours prior and including not showing for the event (“no show”).

Any special circumstances for refund within 72 hours must be approved by the Chapter President
