Erin Murphy, Chapter Relations Manager, eastern area, will discuss benchmarking data from ASTD BEST Awards Winners, Fortune magazine's list of Global 500 (G500) companies, and other organizations from 2004 to present. ASTD estimates that U.S. organizations spent $1,195 per employee on learning and development in 2012. The content from this webcast is drawn from ASTD's 2013 State of the Industry report, which is sponsored by Skillsoft and CARA.
Erin Murphy is the chapter relations manager, eastern area, for national ASTD in Alexandria, VA, where she provides support and resources to more than 55 ASTD Chapters east of the Mississippi
River. Prior to joining national ASTD, Erin served as the Manager, Chapter Relations, for the Licensing Executives Society (USA & Canada), and led a pilot program for the DC Metro Chapter at the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Erin has worked in the non-profit sector for over four years with previous experience in the political realm serving as an intern in the Office of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and the Office of Bridget Prentice, a member of the House of Commons in London. Erin is currently an MBA candidate at American University's Kogod School of Business in Washington, DC.
