“Do not stop thinking of life as an adventure. You have no security unless you can live bravely, excitingly, imaginatively; unless you can choose a challenge instead of competence.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
Board update
The board met on February 22 and conducted a SWOT (Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats). Many thanks to chapter member Cathie Carr for facilitating this important activity for us. Board members are reflecting on the results of the SWOT and setting goals for the year. Those goals will be shared with the chapter at large soon.
One of the questions we asked ourselves to start off the SWOT session was, “In one sentence, what is your definition of a ‘thriving’ ATD Pittsburgh chapter?” How would you answer that question?
Your input is welcome, If you have thoughts about chapter SWOTs or suggestions for goals, send them to me (amr115@psu.edu) by March 14.
Learn more about our board members on the Board Directory page of our chapter website. https://www.tdpittsburgh.org/board/
The Chapter board meets on the last Tuesday of each month, at 7 p.m. on Zoom. Any chapter member is welcome to attend the board meeting. See the schedule here https://www.tdpittsburgh.org/Chapter-Board-Meetings

Join our chapter group to keep up to date with what your fellow members are doing and share what you are doing. We currently have 299 group members. Will you be number 300?
Also consider joining the Association for Talent Development (ATD) Group which has more than 150,000 members. I have found this group to be an excellent source of assistance and advice.
